1. About GuardLayer

GuardLayer Ltd ("GuardLayer", "we", "us") provides child safety compliance infrastructure and monitoring services to help online platforms meet their obligations under the UK Online Safety Act 2023 and associated Ofcom codes of practice.

2. The compliance audit tool

Our free online compliance audit tool is provided for informational purposes only. Results are indicative assessments based on your self-reported answers and should not be relied upon as legal advice. We strongly recommend engaging qualified legal counsel to assess your specific compliance obligations under the Online Safety Act.

3. Website use

You may use our website for lawful purposes only. You must not:

• Use the site in any way that breaches applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site or its systems
• Transmit unsolicited commercial communications
• Use automated tools to scrape or harvest data from the site without prior written consent
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when contacting us

4. Intellectual property

All content on this website — including text, design, graphics, the GuardLayer name and logo — is owned by or licensed to GuardLayer Ltd and is protected by UK and international intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written permission.

5. API services and B2B agreements

Use of the GuardLayer API and compliance infrastructure services is governed by a separate Master Services Agreement and Data Processing Agreement entered into between GuardLayer and the client platform. 6. Disclaimer of warranties

Our website and audit tool are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses. We make no representations about the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any content on the site.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GuardLayer Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our website or services, including but not limited to loss of revenue, data, or business opportunity. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed £100.
